As both active members
of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and our respective
traditional professions, we believe Yoga Therapy in the USA is
in a very early phase of development.
We
believe it represents a paradox of both the ancient traditional
practices and a vessel for the latest findings in integrative
science. In order to flourish a balance must be found for holding
both the classical essence and being culturally relevant. To
perpuate the yoga teaching model of the late 20th century will
hamper such development.
We
at the Center for Yoga Therapeutics are prototyping this new
